Art Statement

Mission Statement

What we at MPC want to do with the image is to reclaim it for the unique whisper in time that it should be.

Our objective is to create truly unique moments, which define your events, your life and your moments; the aim is for the photograph to be about you not the technology.

Our photographic aim is simple:

Let us first say what photography is not. A photograph is not a painting, a poem, a symphony, a dance. It is not just a pretty picture, not an exercise in contortionist techniques and sheer print quality. It is or should be a significant document, a penetrating statement, which can be described in a very simple term - selectivity.
- Berenice Abbott

Our aim to deliver what we believe is simpler still, we are there to deliver photographs not digital images whizzing by and forgotten as soon as the next one is shot. Our aim is to create and capture the moment for you in a set of images that are unique to your personality and voice, not copy prototype shots.

A lot of photographers think that if they buy a better camera they’ll be able to take better photographs. A better camera won’t do a thing for you if you don’t have anything in your head or in your heart.
- Arnold Newman

Vision Statement

In a world obsessed with the next piece of technology and a consumer society in which we are always accumulating, we seem to have forgotten the essence of whom and what we are.

The photograph is no longer just the photograph but a thousand images of one event, yet none at times reflects what the narrative was or what the aim of a project or event may have been, the story is lost, no moment captured or gasp heard to echo from those viewing the image.

At MPC, we want to put the soul and heart back into the image and create not an endless ream of moving images on digital slide show, but a unique artistic record for you to keep and pass on.

A set of images that you will cherish of personal events or corporate photography that will set you apart from the herd and ripple your message in your industry and leave your imprint for all those yet to come.

If it makes you laugh,
if it makes you cry,
if it rips out your heart,
that’s a good picture.
- Eddie Adams
